OBJ - older brother jam (think pavement, sonic youth)
CAJ - cool aunt jam (patti smith, etc.)
momjams - mom jam. (e.g. dolly parton’s islands in the stream)
parentjams - dad & mom jam to this to avoid divorcejams
sadjams - jams that are sad. (see also: divorcejams)
PPD - proto-post-dad, self explanatory
dadjazz - stuff like kenny g, usually NFE
grandjam - grand-dad’s jams, usually NFE
LSJ - little sister jam (see also: grandjam, think Sinatra) [h/t dreamonster, a VFF dadjammer.]
founding fathers - artists for whom every song is a dadjam; the archetypal dads. revered names such as collins, huey, loggins, hall, oates, joel and fogerty.
APTDJ - accidental pregnancy teen dad jam — a lot of 80s jams fall into this category (A-ha Take On Me, etc.) .. typically NFE.
SDJ - secret dad jam ….. (????)
PDJ - post-dad jam. often a modern artist that pays homage to dads, such as The Nationals or Fleet & The Foxes.
